  • For the second time in less than two weeks a 23-year-old Ardmore man was arrested Thursday on more drug charges.
Formal charges of unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and unlawful possession of CDS (methamphetamine) were filed by the district attorney's office against Michael A. Wrenn.
Capt. Eric Hamblin, Ardmore Police Department, said Wrenn was arrested as the result of APD Narcotics Division/Carter County Sheriff's Department investigation that came on the heels of a routine traffic stop.
"During the traffic stop he was observed throwing a plastic bag out of the car. The bag contained marijuana. He was later also found in possession of methamphetamine," Hamblin said.
Wrenn made an initial appearance in district court Friday. Two bonds were set — the first $10,000 cash only and the second $5,000.
Wrenn was one of five people arrested Sept. 25 when APD Narcotics Division served two search warrants at residences located on B Street NW. He was charged in that case with unlawful possession of CDS (methamphetamine).
He was free on a $25,000 bond set on that charge when he was arrested Thursday.
Wrenn faces after former conviction penalty enhancements in both cases.
A spokesperson for the CCDC said Saturday Wrenn remained incarcerated pending the posting of bonds.
