Kenneth was born to Elzie and Vera Parker at Sentinel, Okla., on August 17, 1928. Kenneth was raised in Loves Valley, where he attended grade school and later attended Marietta High School.
Kenneth served in the United States Navy immediately following World War II and was always very proud of his service. He married Miss Jean Ellen Rudd on March 29, 1948, at Gainesville, Texas. Following his Naval service, he was employed by Chevron Oil Company and retired after 30 years. He was an active member of the McLish Avenue Church of Christ. He especially enjoyed his volunteer work for the Gospel of Christ. More than anything else, he was proud of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved watching his great-grandchildren play. In his retirement years, he and Jean enjoyed traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Neva Coble.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Parker; daughters, Betty Tipton and husband, Joseph of Ardmore, Nancy Parker of Ardmore, and Sharon Morgan and husband, Finley of Simon, Okla; grandchildren, Brian Tipton of Palmdale, Calif., Michael Tipton of Ardmore, Kenna Lewis and Jimmy Morgan, both of Simon, Okla.; great-grandchildren, Anthony Tipton, Joshua and Zachary Tipton, Cooper Lewis, and Koy and Kaylynn Morgan; sister, Glenda Bradley of Dallas, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Tipton, Michael Tipton, Jimmy Morgan, J.R. Lewis, Jim Coble, and Don Coble. The Men of McLish Avenue Church of Christ will serve as honorary bearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choosing.
