  • Oklahoma Department of Transportation has issued the following information concerning projects that will impact travel on major highways Friday through Sunday.
     
    Statewide
     
    I-35 corridor, southern Oklahoma
    All lanes are scheduled to be open by Friday on the I-35 corridor between OKC and the Texas state line. I-35 construction at Ardmore and Marietta will halt for this high-volume travel weekend.
     
    I-35 narrowed near Braman, Kay Co.
    I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between US-177 near Braman and the Kansas state line.
     
    I-35 narrowed at US-64 in Perry, Noble Co.
    I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at US-64 (Fir St.) in Perry.
     
    I-35 near Guthrie, Logan Co.
    The speed limit on north and southbound I-35 is reduced to 60 mph south of Guthrie at the Seward Rd. interchange.
     
    I-40 narrowed near Erick, Beckham Co.
    I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction from approximately 3 miles east of the Texas/Oklahoma state line to just east of SH-30 near Erick.
     
    I-40 narrowed near US-281 Spur, Canadian Co.
    I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction near the US-281 Spur, 6 miles east of the Caddo/Canadian county line.
     
    I-40 narrowed near Henryetta, Okmulgee and Okfuskee Counties
    I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between I-40B in Henryetta and US-75 east of Okemah.
     
    US-75 narrowed between Beggs and Okmulgee, Okmulgee County
    Drivers can expect intermittent lane closures on southbound US-75 between SH-16 near Beggs and the US-62 junction in Okmulgee.
     
    US-69 narrowed north of Eufaula, McIntosh Co.
    US-69 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at SH-150 north of Eufaula.
     
    US-69 narrowed in Muskogee, Muskogee Co.
    Southbound US-69 is narrowed to one lane between the Arkansas River bridge and US-62 (Shawnee Bypass) in Muskogee.
     
    US-69 narrowed, traffic shifted north of Atoka, Atoka Co.
    US-69 is narrowed to one lane in each direction north of SH-7 in Atoka.
     
    US-69/US-75 narrowed north of Durant, Bryan Co.
    Southbound US-69/US-75 is narrowed to one lane between SH-22 in Caddo and US-69B north of Durant.

    I-44 ramps close, lanes narrow nightly near I-40
    Drivers can expect various lane and ramp closures on east and westbound I-44 just south of I-40 over the Oklahoma River nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through mid-November for a bridge rehabilitation project. Drivers are strongly encouraged to avoid the area and locate an alternate route.
     
    I-40 Crosstown construction continues

    The deconstruction of the old Crosstown highway, design and construction of new downtown Boulevard and its reconnections to the new I-40 Crosstown are scheduled to continue through 2014. Drivers are urged to plan ahead in locating temporary routes and use caution through work zones. Delays can be expected, especially during peak traffic hours.
     
    I-40 narrowed near Calumet, Canadian Co.
    The left lane of eastbound I-40 is closed from US-270 near Calumet to US-81 near El Reno 7am-7pm daily.
     
    US-81 narrowed near El Reno, Canadian Co.
    North and southbound US-81 is narrowed to one lane between I-40 and S.W. 29th St. in El Reno 7am-7pm daily.
     
    Tulsa Metro

    I-244/US-169 corridor – I-244 closed at 129th E. Ave.
    Expect significant delays in this corridor, especially during peak travel times. Locate an alternate route if possible.
    · All lanes of eastbound I-244 are closed between 129th E. Ave. and the I-44 junction; use southbound US-169 to eastbound I-44 as a detour.
    · Various lane closures east and westbound I-244 between the I-44 split to near Memorial Drive.
    · The westbound I-244 off-ramp to southbound US-169 is closed. Follow westbound I-44 at the I-244/I-44 split for access to US-169.
     
    US-64/SH-51 (Broken Arrow Expressway) – lane closure near Yale Ave.
    Eastbound US-64/SH-51 is narrowed to two lanes from near Yale Ave. to Sheridan Road.
     
    I-244/Arkansas bridge replacement project - ramp closures at SW corner Inner Dispersal Loop
    · Westbound US-64/SH-51 off-ramp to eastbound I-244/westbound US-64/SH-51 (south to west leg IDL)
    · Southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51 ramp to westbound I-244/southbound US-75

    I-244 ramp to US-75 closed (NE corner of the IDL)
    The westbound I-244 off-ramp to southbound US-75 (NE corner IDL) is closed; follow the north and west legs of the IDL for access to southbound US-75 or eastbound US-64/SH-51.
