  • The Chickasaw nation is looking for an artist to create a special piece of sculpture. A “call to art proposal” has gone out for a large-scale sculptural piece that will permanently hang on the wall in the Chickasaw Visitor's Center.

  • The Chickasaw nation is looking for an artist to create a special piece of sculpture. A "call to art proposal" has gone out for a large-scale sculptural piece that will permanently hang on the wall in the Chickasaw Visitor's Center.
    The visitor's center, located in Sulphur, is currently under construction.
    The call is open to all federally recognized tribal members. A copy of the artist's CDIB card must accompany each proposal registration form. Artists may work individually or in a team. If working as a team, all participating artists must submit a copy of their individual CDIB cards.
    Interested artists must submit an initial proposal postmarked by Monday. Late submissions will not be accepted.
    Proposals can be mailed to The Chickasaw nation Department of Tourism Artist Submission, One E. Sheridan, Suite 100, Oklahoma City, OK 73014.
