Ardmore police went to a southwest-side residence Tuesday to serve an outstanding arrest warrant, and they got their man, not once but twice and arrested his father as well.
According to police reports, Officer Juan Galicia and Sgt. Patrick James, APD Patrol Division, served the warrant about noon at a residence located in the 1300 block of South Commerce Street. Ronald Harn, Jr., 50, who was wanted on an illicit drug charge was taken into custody without incident. But Galicia and James also found he was in possession of drugs again. And so was his father, 71-year-old Ronald Harn, Sr. Both men were booked into the Carter County Detention Center.
Wednesday, formal charges were filed against the father/son duo. A spokesperson for the district attorney's office said both men were charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and a misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia.
The twosome made initial arraignment appearances in district court Wednesday afternoon. Bonds of $25,000 were set on the charges against each man.
Late Wednesday afternoon the father/son pair reportedly remained jailed pending the posting of bond.
