LAWTON — Funeral service for Ophelia Mae Higgins Favorite, 80, Lawton, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tom Willoughby officiating.
Mrs. Favorite died October 10, 2012, in Lawton.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
She was born October 21, 1931, in Woodford, Oklahoma, to Claude and Cora (Akers) Harper. She grew up in Ardmore and was a graduate of Plainview High School. She married Joe F. Higgins on March 19, 1949, in Montague, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1979. She was primarily a homemaker but had helped and supported her husband in his painting and dry wall business. She later married MAJ (retired) Ralph S. Favorite Sr., in Lawton. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2004.
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a bowler and enjoyed baking and fishing at Lake Texoma.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Fred Fitch, Lawton; a sister, Oleta Faye Manley, Ardmore, Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Virgil and Betty Harper, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Bob and Joan Harper, Ardmore; and many special nieces and nephews.
Her parents and three brothers, Jonny, Ralph and Earl Harper preceded her in death.
