During the month of October, Good Shepherd Community Clinic will offer free mammogram screenings for those that qualify.
Continued support from the Southern Oklahoma Memorial Foundation has enabled the Good Shepherd Community Clinic, Inc. to provide routine twice-yearly free mammogram screenings to qualifying women 35 to 65. Women who meet the residency requirement and proof of income based on the O-Epic guidelines may qualify for this preliminary breast screening.
For women already experiencing symptoms of a lump(s) in their breasts and underarm areas, noticeable changes in the shape or size of their breasts, nipple discharge, inverted nipple, skin changes such as irritation, redness, thickening of the skin on the breast or nipple, dimpling of the skin, pain, soreness or tenderness in their breasts or nipple should see their family physician for further testing. Qualifying patients without insurance or a health care provider may contact the Good Shepherd Community Clinic, Inc. to schedule an appointment.
