"Honk and Holler Opening Soon" will be the final book featured at the Healdton Community Library's "Let's Talk About It, Oklahoma" series at 6:30 p.m. today.
The novel features four characters, all who work at the "Honk and Holler Opening Soon" diner. Each has something to settle with someone from their past life before they can be at peace with their own lives.
Scholar William Hagen will lead discussion for the evening with thought provoking questions regarding the text.
Recently retired as an English professor at Oklahoma Baptist University, Hagen taught Western Civilization and upper level courses in fiction, drama and film for 38 years. He has been active in LTAIO discussions since 1985, co-authored the "Let's Talk" series, "The Oklahoma Experience: Revisions," and is currently at work on another series featuring mysteries set in Oklahoma.
