  • SHERMAN, Texas — Military graveside services for Lyndal "Mac" McMahan will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman, Texas, with Gale Cox officiating. Family visitation will be from 6-7 this evening at Craddock Funeral Home.
    Mac was born February 20, 1927, at Friendship, Arkansas, to Clarence and Elmira (Shinn) McMahan. He passed from this life on November 11, 2012, in Ardmore, at the age of 85.
    He and Rosemary Ramsey were married and had two children. She preceded him in death in 1978. He married the former Yvonne Brice in Malvern, Arkansas, on June 9, 2008. Mac has lived in this area for the last seven years and moved here from Arkansas.
    He served in the Armed forces with the Army Air Corp. Mac served in World War II and the Korean War. He worked as a machinist for Forsythe Engineering in Houston, Texas, for over 25 years and retired in 2001 from the Little Rock Democrat.
    Mac was preceded in death by his son, Michael; his parents; and two sisters.
    He is survived by his wife, Yvonne McMahan of Ardmore; daughter, Terry Fore and her husband, Hal of Ardmore, Okla.; two granddaughters, Tracy Benson and her husband, Brent of Lone Grove, and Leslie Campo and her husband, Chance of Lone Grove; two grandsons, Kevin Cox and his wife, Heather of Abilene, Texas, and Michael Kester of Ardmore; great-grandchildren, Ariel Rickets and her husband, Chris, Logan and Lacey Benson, Bailey and Conner King, Braxton Campo and Khristian and Belle Cox; and five sisters.
