Ardmore Daisy Girl Scout Troop 841 is working to help children in need by participating in Project Night Night.

The Daisies are collecting items to be given to children who arrive at a shelter due to domestic violence, extreme poverty or natural disaster. Often such children arrive with only the clothes on their backs.

Each package will be in a tote bag and include a stuffed animal, blanket and age-appropriate book.

Final assembly of the bags will be 4 p.m. Dec. 10 at Oak Hall.

People can donate stuffed animals, blankets and books, or give donations to fill gaps and purchase the tote bags.

Drop-off locations include Carter County Child Support Division (District Attorney's Office), Oak Hall Episcopal School, Fitzu Designs, The Vision Source, The Bookseller, Ardmore Public Library, Sommertime Nutrition, Hobbs EyeCare Center, The Sculpture Fitness Club, Christ Community Church (first grade Sunday School classroom), First United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church.
