  • BURNEYVILLE — Memorial services for Dannie Ella Gares, 18, of Burneyville, Okla., will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012, in the Burneyville Baptist Church, Burneyville, with the Rev. Ron Elmore officiating.
    The daughter of Steve Gares and Janie Bennett Gares, Dannie was born January 5, 1994, in Waxahachie, Texas. She passed away Monday, November 19, near Burneyville.
    Dannie had been a resident of Love County for the past seven years, attending Turner Public Schools sixth through 11th grades and graduating from Marietta High School with the Class of 2012. She was currently attending the University of North Texas, Denton, majoring in psychology. Dannie was a high school honor student and a cheerleader at Turner. She will be remembered as a free spirit and one who loved to laugh.
    She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Janie and Chuck Essary of the home; father and stepmother, Steve and Leila Gares of Dallas, Texas; grandparents, Wayne and Jan Gares of Waxahachie and Al and Wanda Bennett of Sublimity, Ore.; three sisters, Sydnie Marie Gares, Stevie Lei Gares and Nethan Lei Lanzaderas; and stepbrother, Austin Lane Essary.
    Honorary bearers are Callie Hodges, Taylor Chester, Kendra Glazner, Charli Weatherford, Jacob Holland, Little Jakoda, Chelsea Walker, Devyn Buchanan and all of her amazing friends and loving family.
    Family visitation will be immediately following the service until 3 p.m. at the church.
