Jonathan Earl Wrenn was born December 13, 1976, in Ardmore. Shortly before his 36th birthday, on November 27, 2012, he quietly departed this life. A Celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012, in Jehovah Baptist Church in the Milo Community with the Rev. Kirk Rushing officiating and Pastor Newhouse delivering the Eulogy. Interment will follow in Jehovah Cemetery.
A lifetime resident of Carter County, Jonathan was baptized at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church and later united with Jehovah Baptist Church. He accepted his call into the ministry and the church issued a license during the tenure of Pastor W.J. Wallace. A graduate of Ardmore High School, Jonathan had a passion for football, wrestling and shot put. Additionally, he was noted for his cooking skills. He was known to cook practically any kind of food dish.
Jonathan leaves to forever cherish his life, his parents, Estoria and Charles McGee, and Edward Wrenn; a daughter, Keyana, and her mother, Lisa Franklin; a brother, Jerome Shannon; grandparents, Alma Shannon, Leola Hurte and Edgar Wrenn; two nieces and a nephew, Je`Tiva Shannon, Ja`Tivon Shannon and Tre`Von Lawson; and aunts and uncles, Josephine Lightsey, Virginia Wrenn, Rosa Wrenn, Ray Shannon and Anthony Smith.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jess Shannon, March 18, 2010.
Pallbearers are T.J. Lightsey, Josh McGee, Jermaine Bennett, Delky Godwin, Ray Shannon, Christopher Shannon, Marcus Smith, DJavon Smith and Travis Lightsey. Flower bearers are JeTiva Shannon, Comesha Woods, Kisha Williams, Kelly Woods, Kenya McGee, Sheleatha McGee and Chae Jackson.
