MARIETTA — Services for Richard D. "Rick" Lewis of Marietta, Okla., will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Pastor Tracy Curington officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Okla., under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Rick was born March 30, 1958, in Ardmore, Okla., the son of William "Bill" and Peggy Wessel Lewis. He passed away Saturday, December 1, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 54.
Rick had been a resident of Love County for the past 20 years. He owned and operated Rick's Furniture and Appliance Store in Marietta as well as owning a number of rental properties in the community. He and the former Jacque Lynn Davis were married in Marietta. Rick liked to fish, bowl and be with family, friends and his dogs. He was of the Baptist faith.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Eldon Howard; and grandmother, Doris Yeatts.
Survivors include his wife, Jacque Lewis of the home; twins, April Lewis of Marietta and Michael Lewis of Oklahoma City, Okla.; daughters, Jackie Ann Williams of Newcastle, Okla., and Catherine Vickers of Ardmore; brother, Garry Don Goodlett of Oklahoma City; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Dennis Loper of Lone Grove, Okla.; aunt, Myra Beatrice Buckley of Duncan, Okla.; and two uncles, Carl Wessel, also of Duncan, and Harvey Joe Lewis of Overbrook, Okla.
Casket bearers will be Barry Hurst, Omar Ramirez, Dennis Loper, Sam Quintana, Ronnie Hilton, David Jacobs and Ryan Hurst. Honorary bearers are Gary Don Goodlett, Michael Lewis, George Buckley and Joe Lewis.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 this evening at the funeral home.
