Janice Mae McCoy, 71, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on December 3, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Janice was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, on December 9, 1940, to Travis and Lucille Rutledge.
Janice enjoyed her profession as a public accountant and tax consultant. She loved spending time with her family at the lake, horseback riding and just being together with her loved ones. There will certainly be a void in this world because she touched so many lives and was loved by everyone.
She is survived by: children, Tim McCoy, Choctaw, Oklahoma, Chad McCoy and wife, Vonda, Edmond, Oklahoma, and Mitzi McCoy Best, Austin, Texas; special grandchildren, Jordan, Corben, Taetem, Jackson, Taylor and Jake; one great-grandson, Drake; brother and sisters, Brent Rutledge, JoAnna Hopkins and Sherry Kirk; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and two other very special people in her life were Dave Sims and Jacob.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother; and several aunts and uncles.
Casket bearers: Chad McCoy, Tim McCoy, Jackson McCoy, Jake McCoy, Dave Sims and Charlie Kirk.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Watts Funeral Home, Madill. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, Madill, Oklahoma. Dan Maxwell will officiate the services. Music arranged by Mark and Barry Williams. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Oklahoma. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
