A former worker at the Norman Veterans Center was convicted Monday of sexual assaults on two patients.
A Cleveland County jury convicted Jeremy Craig Lyday, 28, of one count of first-degree rape and two counts of forcible oral sodomy and recommended a 12-year prison sentence on the rape conviction, along with an additional five years on the sodomy conviction.
The 2011 case against Lyday was the result of a Cleveland County Sheriff's Department investigation which began after other employees of the veterans central reported suspected sexual assault. Lyday subsequently confessed.
The Noble man remains jailed in Cleveland County pending formal sentencing.
