Lonnie Leon Robinson passed away in Colorado Springs, Colo., at 2:45 p.m. on November 28, 2012.

Bro. Terry Tolbert will lead the family in a memorial service at 11 a.m. December 13, 2012, at Trinity Baptist Church in Ardmore, Okla.

Lonnie was born February 28, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Glen Albert Robinson and Helen Agnes Hinshaw Laskowski.

He had seven siblings, Glenda, Joe, Patricia and Kenny of Oklahoma and Karen, Syble and Glendal of California.

He proudly served in the Navy on the USS FLOYD B. PARKS ship in 1960.
He married Patricia Ann Robinson, together they had four children, Susan Russell of Dickson, Okla., Dori Robinson of Sulphur, Okla., Patrick Robinson of Modesto, Calif., and Helen Caudle of Ardmore, Okla.

From a previous marriage, he had Renea Robinson of Edmond, Okla., Charles Robinson of Lawton, Okla., and Danny Robinson of Holdenville, Okla.; and three stepchildren, Billy and Lee Stone both of Ardmore, Okla., and Sharon Brake also of Ardmore, Okla.

He had 13 grandkids, Tracie, Tiffany, Devin, Jonathan, Halie, Shane, Lee'na, Mary, Maggie, Cameron, Cooper, Hunter and Sammie; and three great-grandkids, Kiersten, Kimberlyn and Paislee, all of which was his pride and joy.

He loved to travel and Colorado was his favorite place to live. The mountains there inspired him and made him feel free.

He was a talented artist. He could paint or draw anything he saw in his mind.

He could also build just about anything.

He was also blessed with the gift of words. He could write stories or talk your head off.

He enjoyed reading and taught his kids and grandkids that a book could take you anywhere you wanted to go.

He was fascinated with growing gardens.

But his most treasured pastime was swimming and camping with family.

His final resting places will be in Manitou Springs, Colo., Chickasaw National Park, Sulphur, Okla., and Turner Falls, Davis, Okla.

Although he left many behind to miss him, he was met in heaven by his parents; his grandma, Edna Hinshaw; his son, Donnie; and many more family members.
