  • A pair of Tishomingo women pleaded guilty to drug charges in federal court Wednesday.
Mark F. Green, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, said Jessica Hudgins, 26, and 48-year-old Cynthia Jolene Hudgins, entered guilty pleas to drug conspiracy. Magistrate Judge Kimberly E. West accepted the pleas and ordered pre-sentence reports prior to sentencing the duo.
The women were indicted in November based on an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Agency. The indictment alleged that " ...in or about January 2011, and continuing until in or about March 2012, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma and elsewhere, the defendants, did knowingly and intentionally combine, conspire, confederate and agree, together and with others both known and unknown to the Grand Jury, to commit offenses against the United States, specifically, to knowingly and intentionally possess with intent to distribute and distribute Oxycontin, a Schedule II controlled substance."
Green said the statutory range of punishment both women face is not more than 20 years imprisonment and/or up to a $2,000,000 fine.
