Graveside services for Monroe Jason White, 87, of Healdton will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton with Bro. Quenton Newton officiating. Services are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home in Healdton.
Monroe was born May 24, 1925, in Windfield, Texas, to A.T. and Bessie (Coffee) White. He passed from this life on December 18, 2012, in Ardmore, Okla.
Monroe was raised and attended school in Winfield. He married Margaret Jean Holder on November 22, 1946, in Vernon, Texas. He farmed for a short time before going to work in the oilfields. They moved to Healdton in 1957 where he was employed by Ellison Paraffin, which later became Southwest Paraffin where he worked until retiring. When he wasn’t working, he loved to fish and hunt. Monroe was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; daughter, Debbie Couch; five brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Janie Harris, Ardmore, and Yvonne Price, Overbrook; son, Monroe White, Kingston; brother-in-law, Bill Holder; nine grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
