Early B. Johnson

Funeral services for for­mer Carter County resi­dent, Early B. Johnson, age 99, are 11 a.m. Saturday at Kirk Funeral Home Cha­pel. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with his nephew, Minister Virgil Jones, officiating.

Early B. was the firstborn of seven children born to James and Jennie (Ellis) Johnson. He was born in Berwyn October 17, 1913, and died in the Burford Manor Nursing Facility in Davis, early Christmas morning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings; and a daughter.

His wife and three chil­dren survive him. Local loved ones are a sister, Bea­trice Byers; a niece, Doro­thy Varner; and numerous cousins.

Services are entrusted to the care of Kirk Funeral Home.
