Three men were charged with felony firstdegree burglary in district court Monday following an incident early Saturday morning.
Nikea Paul Lee, 37, Jason Brooks Scheuerman, 41 and Rusty Alan Smith, 29, were each charged and bond was set at $50,000. As of Monday afternoon, all three remained in the Carter County Detention Center.
The charge states on Saturday, the three men entered a residence, which is located in the 300 block of F Street SE. There were two people in the residence at the time, which was recorded at 4:08 a.m. on police reports. The charge states the door was kicked in. Police reports indicate a 42-inch television; DVD player, a book of DVD’s and a cell phone were taken. A victim was located in the living room at the time and the three suspects were allegedly armed with an extendable baton, red club and brass knuckles. The three men left in a pick-up.
Later Saturday morning, Ardmore police officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1100 block of Bailey St. SE. The victim of the burglary and the three suspects were located at a residence. Officers located the stolen items, some of the weapons and identified a truck matching the description of the vehicle used in the burglary. All three suspects were arrested pending charges and booked into Carter County Detention Center.
