  • Services for Oneita Faye Evans, 90, of Marietta, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan­uary 2, 2013, in Marietta’s First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Higle of­ficiating, assisted by Media Hicks. Interment in Lakev­iew Cemetery, Marietta, will be under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Ser­vices, Marietta.

    Mrs. Evans was born Au­gust 10, 1922, in Throck­morton County, Texas, the daughter of John and Lillian West Trimble. She passed away Friday, De­cember 28, 2012, in Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta.

    Mrs. Evans had been a resident of Love County since 1963, moving here from Tahoka, Texas. She and Glenn R. Evans were married September 23, 1953, and he preceded her in death on Janu­ary 8, 1981. A graduate of Woodson High School, Mrs. Evans then attended Draughon’s Business Col­lege in Abilene, Texas. For a time she worked at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. An excellent cook, Mrs. Evans owned and operated the Round House Café in Marietta for 14 years. As a member of Marietta’s First Baptist Church, she worked in the nursery and was ac­tive in Sunday School and WMU. Mrs. Evans was also a member of the Rose Garden Club.

    In addition to her hus­band, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jim Trimble and John Trimble; and two sis­ters, Mary Edith Peek and Eula Mae Bloodworth.

    She is survived by a son, Curtis Evans and Marc Grizanti-Evans of De Soto, Texas; two daughters and son-in-law, Glenita and Tim Franklin and Lisa Mosher, all of Marietta; brother, Tom Trimble of Andrews, Texas; sister, Modelle Ellis of Weath­erford, Texas; four grand­children, Jeff Mosher, Richard Mosher, Alissa Follis and Sara Flanagan; and six great-grandchil­dren, Justin and Arianna Mosher, Maddox Mosher, and Angel, Ethan and Ash­er Follis.

    Serving as bearers will be Bud Barnes, Jesse Kirk, Dr. Tom O’Connor, Law­rence Anderson, Frank Armstrong and George Hicks. Honorary bearers are Jeff Mosher, Richard Mosher, Justin Mosher, Tim Franklin, Dustin Fla­nagan and Marc Grizanti-Evans.

    The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    The family suggests me­morial contributions to WMU of Marietta’s First Baptist Church.
