Ser­vices for Alyne Thompson Griffin of Marietta, Okla., will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013, in the Chapel of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta. Officiat­ing will be the Rev. Tommy Higle with interment to follow in Lakeview Cem­etery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Born August 16, 1922, in Marietta, Okla., the daughter of Victor Herbert Thompson Sr. and Dewey Richey Thompson, Mrs. Griffin passed away Fri ­day, December 28, 2012, in a health care facility in Ardmore, Okla., at the age of 90.

A resident of Love Coun­ty most of her life, Mrs. Griffin was a homemaker and had also been em­ployed at Marietta Sports­wear. She and Vernon L. Griffin were married in Cooke County, Texas, on October 1, 1945, and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2007. Mrs. Griffin was an active member of Marietta’s First Baptist Church and was always available to assist with church dinners. Alyne also enjoyed crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brother, Monroe Thompson; and grandson, Richey Robbins.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in­law, Tommy Griffin and Roger and Becki Griffin, all of Ardmore; daughter, Janie Caldwell of Mari­etta; brother and sister­in-law, Victor and Barbara Thompson, also of Mari­etta; four grandchildren, Greg Griffin, Whitney Casey, Bucky Caldwell and Blaine Caldwell; five great­grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as casket bearers will be grandsons, Bucky Caldwell, Blaine Caldwell, Greg Griffin and Brian Casey. Honorary bearers are David Kerr and Jerry Kerr.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Associa­tion or to Marietta’s First Baptist Church.
