MANNSVILLE — Funeral services for Ann Copeland, 63, will be held Monday morning at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Mannsville with Reverend Kevin Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Mannsville Cemetery. A time of visitation and support for the family will be this afternoon from 2 till 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
The daughter of the late Albert N. and Mildred Virginia Romines Faulkner, Ann was born April 17, 1949, at Overbrook, and passed away January 9, 2013, in Ardmore following an extended illness.
A lifelong resident of the area, Ann worked for the City of Ardmore for more than 30 years. She was the secretary for Rose Hill Cemetery. She and J.J. Copeland were married July 12, 1985, in Gainesville, Texas.
Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mannsville, and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her husband, J.J. of the home; a daughter, Julie Vantine and grandson, Dillon Vantine also of the home; sisters, Janice Copeland of Ardmore, Jane Cunningham of Kingston, and Mary Glover of Ardmore; brothers, John McEntire of Iowa, H.L. Faulkner of Ardmore, and Ray Faulkner of Mannsville. Her stepchildren, Jerry Copeland and Debbie Bartels; grandchildren, Katlin and Katrina George; and step grandchildren, Riley Bartels, Jerry, Larry, Jessica; Chanda, Kim and John Cody also survive her.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Faulkner; and stepson, Larry Copeland.
