  • RATLIFF CITY — Graveside Services for Mr. Bud Walker, 56, of Fox are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at Dixie Cemetery with Bro. Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
    Ervin Newman "Bud" Walker, III was born Nov. 23, 1956 at Wilson to Newman Walker, Jr. and Kathy (Carroll) Needham. He departed this life peacefully at his residence on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.
    Bud was raised and attended school in Fox where he graduated. He met and married Virginia Cox on Nov. 19,1977 at Fox Okla. Bud worked as a heavy equipment operator for Carter County District 2 and was a farm and ranch hand. He was a mechanic and enjoyed horseback riding, fishing with his grandkids, and coon and deer hunting. Bud was a jack of all trades and was down right ornery.
    Preceding him in death are his grandparents and his brother Jimmy Walker.
    Survivors include his wife Virginia of the home; three daughters: Edith Vernon and husband Mike of Wilson, Carrie Taylor and husband Zach of Loco, Candice Stewart and husband Walter of Fox, his father Newman Walker, Jr. and wife Sue; his mother Kathy (Carroll) and husband Ralph Needham all of Fox. Grandchildren: Danielle and Klay Vernon of Wilson, Presley Reid and Dallie Taylor of Loco, Caleb Denney, Kaden and Trinidee Reynolds of Fox. A brother Jon Walker of Coalgate, a sister Brenda Priddy and husband Kent of Meeker, CO, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
    Pallbearers are Josh Carroll, James Reynolds, Eric Poterfield, Jody Rich, Dan Stewart, Jr. and Mike Bivings.
    Honorary Bearers are J.B. Capehart, Ronnie Burton, Jim Burton, Danny Simon, Mike Vernon, Zach Taylor, and Walter Stewart.
