Services for Robert Blucher (Bob) Clark, 73 of Ardmore will be 2 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 15, 2013 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Healdton, with Pastor Kevin Pridemore officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Bob was born Aug. 14, 1939 in Healdton, Okla. to Willis Elsworth and Gladys Mae (Ratliff) Clark. He passed from this life Jan. 11, 2013 in Ardmore.
Bob was raised northwest of Healdton, attending school at Dundee, graduating as Salutatorian of the class of 1957. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1960, serving in Korea and Germany before being honorably discharged in 1964. He received his Bachelors Degree in accounting from The University of Central Oklahoma in 1974. He then became employed by the U.S. Government as an auditor, a career that would last over 25 years. First with the Department of Energy, then with the Department of Defense, retiring in 2003.
He married Gracie Matthews July 31, 2000 in Santa Fe, N.M., making their home in Ardmore. Bob enjoyed walking and traveling and organizing all the family reunions. He loved his family and the time that he was able to spend with them. He was a wonderful husband and father, brother and friend.
Bob was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Healdton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Gracie of the home, daughter Karin McAfee, Ft. Worth; step daughters Karen Poteet, Healdton and Emilie Brewer, Oklahoma City; sister Wanda Fryer, Branson, Mo.; four brothers, Billy (Bill) and Donald Clark , Colorado Springs, Colo.; W. E. (Dub) Clark, Ardmore and Ron Clark, Marion, N.C. Grandchildren Holly, Heather and Hayden McAfee; step grandchildren Travis Poteet, Sara Graham, Bill Deaton and Dawn Morrow and several great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Ron Clark, Billy Clark, Dub Clark, Donald Clark, Wanda Fryer, Scott Fryer and Tony McAfee
Honorary bearers are Jim Miller and Robert Poteet
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home
