An attempted robbery early Friday at a northwest side convenience store didn't net a quartet of bandits the cash they wanted, but they were able to walk away with a snack.
Ardmore Police Department reports indicate the robbery occurred about 1:25 a.m. in the 600 block of 12th Avenue NW. The four males, one armed with what was described as a "long barrel" firearm, entered the store and demanded money. But the holdup didn't go as planned.
The foursome fled without getting their hands on even one greenback. However, during their getaway they did manage to nab beer and cotton candy.
No injuries were reported.
