Ardmore junior Carter Swanson received a much-appreciated message on Tuesday.

The wide receiver/safety prospect was invited to Oklahoma State's second Junior Day on Feb. 16 in Stillwater. Swanson (6-foot-3, 190 pounds), who is receiving interest from Duke, Tulsa and North Texas, was contacted via Facebook by Oklahoma State receivers coach Jason Ray on Tuesday night.

Swanson, a two-year starter for the Tigers, registered 100 tackles and 10 pass breakups as a junior, and led Ardmore's run-oriented offense in receiving yards.

"I'm happy they're showing a little interest," Swanson said. "Just have to wait a little bit and see what happens."

Swanson was invited to games at OSU and Tulsa during the summer via email. He said he'll be attending various day camps in the summer to get his name out.

Ardmore will have at least one Class of 2013 signing next week, as All-Ardmoreite Super Team defensive back Jeff Surrell is slated to sign with East Central on National Signing Day Wednesday.

Surrell (6-0, 175) led the Tigers in interceptions with five as a senior.
