Services for Harold N. Parker, 98, will be Monday afternoon February 4, at 2 p.m. in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with Reverend Donny Custar officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. A time of visitation and support for the family will be Sunday evening from 8 till 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The son of the late Carl A. and Flora Reagh Parker, Harold was born in Brock on May 30, 1914, and passed away in Ardmore February 1 following an extended illness. A resident of the Ardmore area all of his life, Harold worked for the Ardmore Fire Department for over 20 years retiring as assistant chief. He also worked for the Daube Ranches for many years, and had a love for horses. Harold was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Harold married the former Marynette L. Lamb on June 27, 1936, here in Ardmore and she preceded him in death August 16, 1997. His sister, Dorothy Gates also preceded him in death.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Maryanne Elmore of Ardmore; grandsons, Brad Elmore of Wilson, Rodney Elmore and his wife, Cathy of Ardmore, and Kelly Elmore and his wife, Tammy of Springer; his granddaughter, Sidney Word of Ardmore; three great-granddaughters, Jimi Word of Ardmore, Kelsey Patterson and her husband, Kyle of Weatherford, Okla., and Rylee Elmore of Springer; his great-grandson, Garrett "Hotshot" Elmore of Springer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
