  • Texas woman injured in Wednesday morning weather-related crash

  • WILSON — An Irving, Texas woman was critically injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle weather-related crash on U.S. Highway 70.
     
    The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Rhonda Kay Mashburn, 51, identified as a passenger in a 2000 Chevrolet driven by Jerry O'Hare, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Ardmore. She was later air lifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas where she was admitted in critical condition with multiple injuries.
     
    O'Hare was also taken to the Ardmore hospital by ambulance where he was treated and released following the 9:35 a.m. crash.
     
    OHP reports indicate the crash happened when a 2008 Honda pickup, driven eastbound by Jesse Glen Stevenson, 27, Ardmore, hydroplaned on the highway crossed the center median and crashed into O'Hare's westbound vehicle.
    Everyone involved in the accident was reportedly wearing a seatbelt.
     
    Cause of the crash was listed as unsafe speed for rain or wet roadway.
