MADILL — Irene Esther Pattillo, 94, of Lebanon, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at her home in Lebanon. She was born on June 17, 1918, in Lebanon, to the late Jesse Knight Shilling and Elsie J. Smith Shilling.
Irene was raised in Lebanon and moved to Ardmore for several years before moving back to Lebanon in the mid 70s. She married Doug Pattillo in November of 1964 in Ardmore. He preceded her in death in May of 1988. She worked at the Madill Pants Factory in Madill and she also worked with her husband at Doug's Grill in Ardmore. She was a member of the Church of Christ and she loved any type of gardening and yard work.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Harris, Lebanon, Oklahoma; stepchildren, Bob Pattillo and wife, Ellene, Weldon Spring, Missouri, William D. Pattillo and wife, Carol, Noble, Oklahoma, Jerry Pattillo, Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Nancy Watson and husband, Joe, Edmond, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Debbie Kosarek and husband, Steve, Argyle, Texas; great-grandson, Michael Kosarek, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons; one grandson; and great-nephews.
Casket bearers: Christopher Page, Randy Hood, Clancy Hallum, Terry Eldridge, Rocky Harris and Bob Pattillo.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Watts Funeral Home, Madill. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Cole Tidwell will officiate the services. Interment will be at the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Oklahoma. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
