The 2013 Legislative Luncheon kicks-off Friday in the Holiday Inn Meeting Room.
The event begins with a box lunch at 11:30 a.m., with the presentation at noon.
In addition to updates from the area’s state representatives and senator, this year’s schedule will provide an opportunity to interact with elected officials from the City of Ardmore, Ardmore City Schools and Carter County officials.
The change in format is in response to requests from members for access to local government representatives and school officials.
“The luncheons provide an opportunity for elected officials to update our members on current legislation and activities as well as answer questions from the audience. One of the most significant benefits of Chamber membership is the legislative advocacy provided at all levels of government. The bi-weekly luncheon offers an opportunity for our members to be better informed and involved in the democratic process,” said Jason Winborn, Ardmore Chamber Legislative Affairs Chair. Box lunches will be available and can be reserved no later than 4 p.m. Thursday by calling Jennifer at the Ardmore Chamber at (580) 223-7765 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
