Ardmore police were called to a local motel Tuesday afternoon when a guest of the establishment refused to check out.
Reports indicate 30-year-old Charly Jo Woods not only refused to cooperate with the check out policy, she also refused to purchase the room for another night's stay.
Officers found Woods in the room. They also found her in possession of methamphetamine. She was arrested and booked into the Carter County Detention Center where she got a free night's stay away from her Ardmore address.
At the time of her arrest, Woods was free on the $10,000 bond she posted following her arrest by Ardmore police earlier in the month. On Feb. 11 the district attorney's office filed a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance (oxycodone) against her in Carter County District Court.
Wednesday prosecutors filed a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine against her. She made an initial appearance in district court. Bond on the new charge was set at $30,000.
Late Wednesday afternoon a spokesperson for the detention center Woods had not yet posted bond, and remained detained.
