In East Central's first home softball games of the season, the Lady Tigers earned two run-rule wins over undefeated Oklahoma Baptist at Lady Tiger Field.
ECU won the first game in five innings 11-0 and then earned an 8-0 win, in five innings.
The Lady Tigers (12-4) were led by sophomore Lauren Bancroft, who tallied four hits, scored five runs and added two RBIs for a 1.000 average in two games. ECU also had eight other batters hit over .500 for the game, including five hitting .667.
Davis alumnae Leah Tigert went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Tigers in Game 1. In only nine games, Tigert is leading East Central in batting average (.591), slugging percentage (.864) and on-base percentage (.640).
The Lady Tigers will look to open Great American Conference action this weekend at Southwestern Oklahoma State.
