  • Funeral services for A.D. Butler are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mel Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
    A.D. was born November 22, 1925, to A.D. Butler Sr. and Ida Lee (Keller) Butler in Milo, Okla. He passed this life on February 27, 2013, in a local hospital. He and Daisy Mauldin were married December 4, 1949, in Munday, Texas. He retired from the City of Ardmore after 15 years of service. He had previously worked as a truck driver and shipping clerk for Tyler and Simpson Warehouse Co. for 22 years. A.D. was a loving family man, who loved his family more with every generation that came along.
    He is survived by his daughter, Farrelyn Hix of Ardmore; and a son, Ronald Butler of Ardmore. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Scott Johnson and Carmon Bowker; and six great-grandchildren, Hayleigh and Lewis Johnson, James, Carter, Tatum and Sommers Bowker.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Daisy; grandson, Lewis; and seven brothers.
