Services for Kenneth Wolfe, 76, of Thackerville, Okla., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in the Thackerville First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. John Kinman. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville, will be under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta, Okla.
Mr. Wolfe was born May 27, 1936 at Thackerville, the son of Jess Merl and Bessie Irene Sampson Wolfe. He passed away Friday, March 8, at his home at Thackerville.
A resident of Love County/Thackerville most of his life, Mr. Wolfe was employed as a Texas Highway Patrolman, a detective for Santa Fe Railroad, served as a U.S. Sky Marshal, was a supervisor in the Border Patrol and retired in 1996 as a U.S. Customs Agent. He and the former Sammie Kay Mansfield were married July 3, 1980 in Lewisville, Texas. Mr. Wolfe enjoyed traveling, NASCAR races and horse races and feeding wildlife in his backyard. However, one of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Wolfe was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Judy B. Wolfe.
He is survived by his wife, Sammie Kay Mansfield Wolfe of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Roy Wolfe of Henrietta, Texas and Chad Mansfield and Kristi Ethridge Mansfield of Thackerville; daughter and son-in-law, Connie Sue Wolfe and Henry Allmand, also of Thackerville; brother, Phillip Ray Wolfe of Gainesville, Texas; and six grandchildren, Nicole Allmand, Chance Allmand, Lauren Mansfield, Maverick Mansfield, Marshal Mansfield and Mayer Mansfield.
Serving as bearers will be Wesley Smith, Dean Pearman, Chuck Svoboda, Don Schultz, David Dedek and Tony Hollar. Honorary bearers will be all of his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
