David Wayne Wilson, age 69, of Ardmore, Okla., passed away on March 8, 2013. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Provence Cemetery with Gary Word officiating.
David was born to Gustus Leonard and Eulene (Taylor) Leonard on February 23, 1944, at Madill, Okla., and adopted by Homer Wilson and Rose L. Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Samantha Davis and Collyn Davis; two brothers; and one sister.
David was a truck driver for most of his life. He served his country by enlisting in the Oklahoma National Guard. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his best friend, his cat “Patches.”
David was survived by his children, Mark Davis of Bromide, Paul Davis of McMillan, William Wilson, Waynette Dawson and Melissa Davis, all of Ardmore; two stepchildren, Erron Sowl and Ross Sowl, both of Ardmore; 24 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Dick of Minco and Ellen Jolly of Filmore; and brother, Clifford Leonard of Oklahoma City.
