After finishing the 2011-12 season with an 8-19 overall record, the East Central women's basketball team flipped its record (19-9) and made school history by advancing to the Great American Conference Championship Tournament Semifinals. However, the Lady Tigers season came to an end with a 81-69 loss to Arkansas Tech.

The Lady Tigers (19-9, 13-7 GAC) received double-digit scoring from four players in the semifinal game, with sophomore Dilan Webster leading the way with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Juniors Ashley Robison and Alycea Price each added 12 points, while sophomore Erin Walling tallied 10.
