A Marietta man learned Monday morning it wasn't a good idea to be high and lost at the same time.
Race M. Cox was arrested abut 9:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Vaden Lane after he apparently began randomly knocking on doors of houses. The action caused at least one concerned person to phone police headquarters and request the assistance of an officer.
Officer Juan Galicia responded, found Cox and subsequently arrested him after finding him in possession of illegal prescription pills and marijuana. He was booked into the Carter County Detention Center to await formal charges.
Tuesday prosecutors filed both felony and misdemeanor drug possession charges against Cox. He made an initial appearance in district court where bond was set at $3,000.
A Carter County Detention Center spokesperson said late Tuesday afternoon Cox remained jailed pending the posting of bond and/or the outcome of the case against him.
