MADILL — Alice Lucille Thompson, 76, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2013, at the Hospice Quality Care Center in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born on March 18, 1936, in Magnet, Arkansas, to the late Mark Lafayette Baker and Jennie Blanche Thompson Baker.
Alice was raised in Malvern, Arkansas, and at the age of 16, she moved to Pampa, Texas. She married Roy Edsel Ford on September 10, 1955, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2010. Later she married Lonnie Thompson on May 12, 1985, and he preceded her in 1987. In 1998, she moved to Kingston where she worked at the Lake Texoma Lodge until 2004 and the Burger Shop until 2007. Alice was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pampa, Texas, and she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Sue Robinson, Kingston, Oklahoma, Linda McDonald and husband Kenneth, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Randy Ford, Pampa, Texas, and Wade Ford, Dallas, Texas; and grandchildren, Dustin Converse, Madill, Oklahoma, Melissa Robinson, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Cody Lowe, Duncan, Oklahoma, Clint Lowe, Kingston, Oklahoma, Cristin Lowe, Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Cory Lowe, Kingston, Oklahoma.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sisters, Bertha Dean and Juanita Cook; and three brothers, Virgil, Ed and Pete Baker.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2012, at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Joe Patterson will officiate the services. Music arranged by Jenna Garcia.
