Funeral services for Richard Ray Tanner, 69, will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. with Reverend Jimmy D. Keith officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

The son of the late Ballard and Faye Lusk Tanner, Richard was born Aug. 11, 1943 in Oakland, Calif. and passed away Saturday morning in a local hospital.

A resident of Lone Grove for most of his life, Richard graduated Lone Grove High School in 1962. He married the former Charlotta Maurine Jones, March 10, 1964 in Ardmore, and she preceded him in death Dec. 16, 1983.

Richard retired from Bell Helicopter. He enjoyed traveling with Joy and his grandchildren, treasure hunting, and going to the casino. Richard was also an avid pool player.

He is survived by his daughters, Holly Tynes and husband Chance of Burneyville, Okla.; and Tracy Cribs and husband Jason of Ft. Worth, Texas; his son Ricky Tanner and wife Elizabeth also of Ft. Worth, his special friend and companion for the past six years Joy Sloan of the home, grandchildren, Tyler and Brytany Cribs, Chloe and Cason Tynes, and Sara Tanner; and two great grandchildren, Jace Cribs and Maci Grimes.
