  • The state’s multicounty grand jury is scheduled to reconvene today in Oklahoma City.

The grand jury will meet through Thursday in the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office.

The state’s 14th multicounty grand jury is led by Assistant Attorney General Megan Tilly, chief of the AG’s Multicounty Grand Jury Unit.

The multicounty grand jury was requested by Attorney General Scott Pruitt and approved by the Oklahoma Supreme Court on Sept. 12.

The multicounty grand jury has jurisdiction to investigate criminal matters in all 77 counties, assisting local law enforcement as well as handling matters of state interest. Each month, grand jurors meet to hear testimony for two to three days. All of the proceedings are closed to the public.

The state’s 13th multicounty grand jury concluded in August with 25 indictments, charging a total of 31 individuals and was assisted by 113 state and local law enforcement agencies.
