Funeral services for Juanita Marchesani, 94, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with the Reverend Jerry Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

The daughter of the late Jessie Myrtle Hoover, Juanita was born January 17, 1919, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and passed away on Resurrection Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Edmond, Oklahoma.

A resident of the Ardmore area for most of her life, she graduated from Ardmore High School class of 1937 and then attended the Ardmore Business School. She worked as a secretary.

She married Domenick G. Marchesani June 26, 1943, in Ardmore, and he preceded her in death February 19, 2007. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Esther Bagwell; beloved son-in-law, William Norman Sr.; and half brother, John Hubble.

Juanita was a member of the First Baptist Church and was the second person to be baptized in the church where it sits now. She also worked in the church nursery and was a foster grandparent.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Norman of Edmond; son, Jim Marchesani of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Kymberli Norman, William Norman Jr. and Paige Norman-Perry; and great-grandchildren, Brandi, Bayli and Brytni Cheek, Taylor and Dominique Norman and William Perry. Also a special nephew, John Bagwell and special daughter, Yalonda Dashner survive her.
