  • LONE GROVE — Funeral services for Janet Diane Nutter, 57, are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Lone Grove Assembly of God Church with Teri Beane officiating. Teri has been an important part of her life doing Bible Study with her during the last year. Interment will follow in Lone Grove West Cemetery.
    Janet was born Sept. 22, 1955, to Jerry and Joyce (Meeks) Nutter in Seminole, Texas. She passed this life April 3, 2013, at her residence in Lone Grove.
    Janet enjoyed traveling to horse races and shows with her best friend, Nina and her husband, Steve. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, traveling, cooking and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was an excellent caregiver, compassionate, and a great listener. Most of all, Janet cherished time spent at family get togethers.
    She is survived by her mother, Joyce Nutter; daughter, Amy Long and her husband, Shane Long of Ardmore; son, Shane Grover and his wife, Kyndra of Ardmore; sister, Joni Key and her husband, Terry of Lone Grove; two brothers, Joel Nutter and his wife, Janelle of Lone Grove, and Jeff Nutter and his wife, Beth of Mansfield, Texas; special friends, Steve and Nina Holt of Guthrie, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Mersadies, Amarah, Alyssa, Ashton, Aidan, Avin and Anson; a great-grandchild, Briley; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many friends.
    She was preceded in death by her dad, Jerry Nutter; grandmothers, Alma Meeks and Frances Roark; nephew, Chance Nutter; and infant daughter, Shawn Michelle Grover.
    Family will serve as pallbearers.
    In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be left to Cross Timbers Hospice at 207 C Street NW, Ardmore.
