Funeral services for Bernice Key, of Ardmore, will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilmer Cooper and the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Clearview Cemetery.

Bernice was born February 7, 1931, in Ardmore, to George A. and Elsie (Taylor) White. She entered the Heavenly gates on April 5, 2013, at the Ardmore hospital.

Bernice lived her entire life in Ardmore and attended Douglass High School. She had worked as a sorter with Stromberg-Carlson and after retirement, worked at the Senior Volunteer Program from 2003 to 2009. She was full of joy and wisdom and lived life to the fullest. She loved people and would often walk everywhere she went. She did things "in a hurry" and loved to shop. She was a lifetime member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Key; the father of her four children, Guy Williams Sr.; a son, Dennis Williams Sr.; a grandson, Micah Williams; a brother, George Raymond White; and a sister, Thelma Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Robert Lewis Williams and Julia of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Guy Williams Jr. and wife, Ruby of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a daughter, Dorine Nash and husband, Mack of Newport News, Virginia; grandchildren, LaNece Green, Anthony Nash, TaKesha Williams, Mondray Williams, Dennis Williams Jr., Danielle Williams and Damion Nash; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a daughter-in-law, June Williams of Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Casket bearers will be Elvis Thomas, Larry King, Derrick Knight, Tommy Thompson and Henry Graham.

Flower girls will be Dorothy Varner, Shelena Brown, Rita Lollis, Debra Kay Smith, Linda Kay Russell and Lynette Wilson.
