  • James Michael (Mike) Clark

  • Mike Clark was born on June 11, 1963, in Ardmore, Okla., to Ola Catherine and James Woodrow Clark. He departed from this life on April 8, 2013, in Lone Grove, Okla.
    Mike began his life in Ardmore. For a short while during his teen years, his family moved to Palm Springs, California, but later returned to Ardmore. He worked for many years as a home alarm system and cable TV installer. For a time, he ran his own lawn care business. Later, he spent many an hour helping his good friend, Billy McMahan, remodel and repair homes in the area. Mike loved music and playing his guitar. He was a genius at math and algebra. He could solve equations without the benefit of paper, pencil or calculator. He vigorously studied the Bible, seeking comfort and guidance in the Word of God. He was a child of God and a member of Mary Niblack Baptist Church.
    On May 24, 1983, he was joined in marriage to Brenda Cheek. Two children, Charles Randall and Candice Rene, were born of this union.
    On June 27, 1993, he was joined in marriage to Nita Watson. One child, James Woodrow, was born of this union.
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, The Colonel and Mrs. Grayce Walker; father, James Woodrow; stepfather, Mike Rhoads; and mother, Ola Catherine Rhoads.
    He is survived by one brother, Ron Rhoads and wife, Cayci of Del City; a son, Chuck Clark and wife, Sabrina of Lone Grove; a daughter, Candice Clark and fiancé, Timothy George of Lone Grove; a son, Woody Clark of Dickson; two grandchildren, Robert Franklin and Randall Lee Clark; two nieces, Cathlyn and Mallory Rhoads; a nephew, Daxten Rhoads; and numerous other family members and friends.
    A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April, 15, 2013, at Mary Niblack Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Wilson officiating.
