  • Leatrice June Housley, 80, daughter of the late Clarence Jones and Ina Woodie (Beamann) Jones, was born on January 3, 1933, in Lindsay, Oklahoma and passed away on April 11, 2013 at her Ardmore residence.
    She and James E. "Choc" Housley were married on January 6, 1951, in Gainesville, Texas. "Choc" preceded her in death on March 6, 2009. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence and Ina Jones; a sister, Kelly Elizabeth Beamann; and great-grandson, Jacob Ryan Hedger.
    A resident of the Ardmore area most of her life, Leatrice grew up in Springer, Oklahoma. A member of the former First Orthodox Baptist Church, which is now Trinity Baptist Church, she loved attending Bible study. Leatrice was a homemaker, enjoyed flowers, playing the piano, bird watching and quilting.
    She is survived by her sons, Woody Housley and wife, Teressa of Ardmore and Barry Housley and wife, Shirley of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; five granddaughters, Leanne Housley, Kristin Thomas and husband, Otho, Erin Housley and fiancé, Todd Robichaux, Leah Hedger and husband, Zane and Christie Vega and husband, Hugo; five great-grandsons, Samuel, Ryan, Zane, Jessie and Jaxon; one great-granddaughter, Maddie; and a great-grandson, Greyson, on the way.
    Cremation-With-Care was provided by Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory; no services will be held.
    The family would like to thank Cross Timbers Hospice for their special care, and in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice at 207 C Street NW Ardmore, OK 73401.
