In conjunction with Oklahoma City University's American Spirit of Dance performance at the Goddard Center, a dance master class will be offered by dancer, choreographer and teacher, Brian Marcum.

The class will be from 3:30-4:45 p.m. Friday in the Goddard Center's dance studio.

The master class will focus on a combination of jazz and musical theater styles, and is designed for intermediate to advanced dancers over the age of 13.

There is no charge for the class, but space is limited. Reservations can be made by calling the Goddard Center at (580) 226-0909.

The Goddard Center is located at 401 1st Ave. SW.

Marcum received his Bachelor of Performing Arts degree in Dance Performance from OCU and went on to dance in, and choreograph for, many of Broadway's most popular and beloved shows.

As a dancer, he performed in favorites like "Saturday Night Fever," "Monty Python's Spamalot" and the Tony award winning revival of "42nd Street." Additionally, he has danced in the national and international touring shows "Annie Get Your Gun" and "The Who's Tommy."

His choreography has been featured in Broadway's newest holiday musical, "Elf," and other well-known performances such as "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Hello, Dolly!"
