Ernest Lee Conway, 68, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at his Ardmore residence. Born to the late William E. "Buck" and Fern Marie (Gideon) Conway, June 5, 1944, at Ardmore, Ernest had lived in the Ardmore and Gene Autry (Berwyn) area all of his life.
He and Eunice Mae Bailey were married June 4, 1977, at Lone Grove, Oklahoma. A graduate of Berwyn High School, Ernest was of Baptist faith. He had been an employee of Stromberg Carlson, enjoyed watching all sports and attended Adult Day Services; most recently he had been a seat assembler for the National Seating Company at the Ardmore Airpark. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Conway of the home in Ardmore; two sons, Able Garza III of Arlington, Texas, and Bucky Conway of Ardmore; three daughters, Maria Revis and her husband, Richard, Justin, Texas, Tammy Douglas and her husband, Roderick, Ardmore, Regina Conway and Joe Dunigan of Ardmore; grandchildren, Shery Revis, Dalton Revis, Chyanne Revis, Sarha Garza, Lola Watkins, Devin Conway, Will Conway, Zackary Conway, Gage Conway, Brandon Douglas and Kelce Douglas; great-grandchildren, Austin Revis and Little Brandon Douglas; a brother, Harold Conway; and sister, Patricia Whitener both of Ardmore.
His parents; brothers, F. W. "Scroocher", Glenn, Marvin, Les and Leon Conway; and daughter, Marcella Conway preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, conducted by the Rev. Terry Tolbert. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Berwyn Cemetery at Gene Autry, Oklahoma.
