A commitment to controlling the animal population in Murray County continued this month at the Davis Oklahoma Animal Volunteer-sponsored low cost clinic. Volunteers spayed and neutered 31 animals, bringing the total number of animals treated to 2,430 during the history of the clinic.
Dr. Kay Helms performed surgery with anesthesiologist Lilly Everett. Volunteering at the event were Marilyn Coon, G. Bryant, Aimee Hughes, Gary Fitch, Debbie Hardy and Ben and Audrey Ridlehoover.
The clinics are available to families earning $35,000 or less a year. A clinic has been scheduled on May 10 with Dr. Helms. To register a pet, call (580) 622-3467. Another clinic is also scheduled on June 1.
