An early morning accident left three people injured Monday. The Department of Public safety issued a report that indicated Collin Lee Sullivan, 16, Wanda E. Beal, 72 and Desteny Michelle Albertson were injured in a two-vehicle accident. at 8:22 a.m.
The report said Sullivan, a resident of Tishomingo, was facing north in a 1994 Dodge 2500 Pickup on state highway 22 at a stop sign. Sullivan turned left in front of Beal, who was traveling eastbound on state highway 78 in a 2012 Dodge Caliber. Beal struck Sullivan’s vehicle on the driver’s side and ejected Sullivan 15 feet from the vehicle.
Sullivan was transported by air to Parkland hospital in Dallas and treated for head, arm, leg, trunk internal and trunk external injuries and was released.
Beal was transported by air to OU medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in serious condition with head, trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
Albertson was a passenger in Beal’s vehicle and was also flown to OU medical Center and admitted in serious condition with head, trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
Seatbelts were not in use and airbags deployed. The report indicated the cause of collision was Sullivan’s failure to yield.
